Roswell selects Huitt-Zollars for new recreation center design
Roswell parks commission votes 6-0 to hire Huitt-Zollars after interviewing four firms. The firm would site and design a new youth recreation center, possibly at the current Yucca center location, with a 12 month design phase and 12 month construction. Yucca center remains closed due to roof leaks and mold risk, while youth programs relocate to schools and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Roswell. A Bert Murphy Family Splash Pad at Poe Corn Park, funded by a $100,000 donation, is planned with a groundbreaking held December 9.
