Washington dateline reports President Ebert will pardon and release Lietz Hooven Griffis of Ohio and others who tried to capture Grover Bergdorf. The move, not immediate, is expected before the twenty one months sentence ends and is seen as a prudent political step for Germany.
In Denver on January 12 attorney Ben B. Laska said four masked men abducted him a mile from the city, choked and beat him. He identified three as Ku Klux Klan members and said the attack was retaliation for defending bootleggers. His condition is not serious.

The M. E. Church South on 2nd and Penn launches a two week revival led by Rev W B Hogg of Trinity Church El Paso Texas with evangelistic sermons daily at 10 AM and 7 30 PM and special gospel numbers by a large choir under Carl E Kiefer.
The First Christian Church outlines a week of activities led by Sidney M. Bedford including church school at 9 40 a m with classes for all ages, morning worship at 10 50, a mission study at 6 30, and a Japan program. A Girl's Circle luncheon Monday 6 15, Young People's Night at 7 20, Church Night Wednesday supper 25 cents and program 7 10, with 59 members last week and choir at 8 00. The homelike church invites all to attend.

James Blaine Williams died at St Marys hospital at 10 10 p m He was born January 23 1893 in Albany Missouri He served in the Officers Training Camp and the Aviation Corps during World War I He was a member of several fraternal orders and his funeral was planned for Tilton Funeral Home in Roswell The notice also lists legion posts and pallbearers.
Investigating committee blames the northbound train No. 26 crew for a collision near Houston that killed four. It found they did not wait at a siding per orders, wreck at 8 57 p m. The report assigns responsibility to the crew.
