Fire hits railroad bridge near Roswell

The Roswell Fire Department was summoned to a railroad bridge east of Lincoln Avenue and Hendricks Street to extinguish a fire. David Archibeque of Southwestern Railway called it suspicious as dried brush lay beside the wooden structure on a rainy night. Martinez proposes budget increase in New Mexico

Gov Susana Martinez proposed a nearly 5.9 billion state budget with a 4.1 percent, 232 million dollar spending hike for the coming fiscal year.
