Americans freed from Soviet camp report seeing missing peer
Two Americans freed from a Soviet forced labor camp in East Berlin last night reported that Pvt William Verdine of Starks Louisiana may have been held there last year. John H Noble of Detroit and Pvt William Marchuk of Norristown Pennsylvania were handed to U S authorities and said Noble would tell his story. Verdine, ill with tuberculosis the Russians denied knowledge of, was not released. Noble and Marchuk are in good shape though Marchuk is taciturn.

Four Wanted Men Apprehended by Roswell Police
Local police picked up four men tied to crimes in the week ending yesterday. Clarence Davidson, 29, and Joe Miller, 25, were nabbed at a filling station in a 1954 Ford and are wanted in Hillsboro Texas for forgery with burglary suspicion. Two others were jailed for burglary and forgery, while Robert Cox, 37, released after Roswell arrest, had been sought as a burglary suspect and worked for a sign company.

Man Injured When Struck by Auto on Main and Second
