Kidnapped Bomberger freed after ransom claim debunked

Allen C Bomberger, 21, a Hammond Indiana college student, was allegedly abducted for 50 000 dollars but authorities denied any ransom payment. He described two men and a woman in the gang and said he was held in Illinois and Chicago locations before release. The case follows a separate fatal gunfight involving a suspect in the Bremer kidnapping in St Paul.

Facts About The Boy Scout Program

Roswell hosts a regional Boy Scout fundraising drive with details on council reach. The Eastern New Mexico Council serves eleven counties with 104000 people, 889 Scouts, 126 Cubs, and 300 volunteers, plus one professional executive. Condon Identifies Hauptmann in Lindbergh Kidnap Case

Dr. John F. Condon testified that he identified Bruno Richard Hauptmann as the man he negotiated with and later paid the $50,000 ransom to in the Lindbergh kidnapping trial. He described meeting Hauptmann, the notes bearing a three-holed symbol, and the ransom letters that directed the intermediation. Condon recounted guiding the ransom exchange, including the ad in the New York American and the trip to Col. Lindbergh’s Hopewell home where he slept in the baby’s nursery.

John W. McGee prominent geologist and discoverer of the Hutchinson County Texas oil field was killed in a Sunday night auto crash at Astatla Texas. He was a former Roswell resident and was known among Roswell oil men after living there for a year or two about seven or eight years ago.

Glen Horton Dies at 29 in Roswell

Glen Horton died at St Marys hospital at 2 15 pm from pneumonia after a short illness. He was 29, a Roswell High School graduate who played football basketball and baseball. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Fred G Horton and husband to his wife with a 10 month old daughter Peggy Joyce. He is survived by his sister Mrs Bob Looney. Funeral arrangements by Talmage Mortuary.
