SeaWorld San Diego ends its killer whale show after years
SeaWorld San Diego will stop its long running orca show with final performances on Sunday. Orca Encounter will replace the show in a revamped pool billed as an educational experience. The park maintains trainers cue whales, who will still leap and demonstrate wild behaviors. SeaWorld faced declines in attendance after the Blackfish documentary and was reducing orca displays across parks by 2019.
