Assessor mails property valuation notices in Chaves County
Valuation notices were mailed to Chaves County taxpayers per Assessor Larry Hess. New rules say 1974 valuations need not be reported for 1975 except for mobile homes livestock and agricultural land. Veterans certificates must be in by November 28. In a separate case Ricky Stephens 18 of 1305 S Pennsylvania Ave was released on 50000 bond after arrest for a murder in the death of George Daley 33 of 1509 S Michigan Ave with a body found last week.
