AT&T drops Tiger Woods sponsorship amid personal scandal
AT&T Inc will stop sponsoring Tiger Woods joining Accenture in ending support as Woods takes an indefinite leave from golf to focus on his marriage. The company says the Woods deal, signed as a multiyear in 2009, previously included a hosting role for the AT&T National through 2014, though the logo appeared on his golf bag. Woods will not host the 2010 event moving to Aronimink, while the AT&T National foundation remains a beneficiary. AT&T continues its other sponsorships but offered no reason for the Woods termination.
