Model rockets soar into Roswell skies with CAP cadets
Roswell CAP deputy commander Chris Simons led a safety briefing before a day of model rocket launches near Cielo Grande. More than 90 participants from NMMI, All Saints Catholic School, Mesa Elementary, and Boy Scouts from Artesia joined 100 plus launches, using NAR Class C rockets and a larger Class G rocket capable of 1000 to 1100 feet.

The House passed HB 2 on a bipartisan 50-18 vote, pushing a $10.8 billion fiscal 2026 budget.
