Washington reports show the Senate Interstate Commerce Committee voting to report the Hepburn railroad rate bill without amendment and send it to the full Senate. The Tillman Gillespie resolution to probe railroad discriminations was taken up and quickly passed by the House. A uniform divorce law resolution was also adopted, tightening rules against migratory divorces and fraud or collusion in obtaining divorces.

A meeting is set for Tuesday afternoon February 27 at 3:00 in Dr. E H Skipwiths office. The gathering will hear the committee report on constitutions and by laws and work to perfect the organization. Kentuckians with names already sent in and others interested are urged to attend if possible.
A Colonial Tea was held yesterday afternoon at the Commercial Club rooms hosted by Mesdames Nathan Jaffa Harry Jaffa and Joseph Jaffa. Guests enjoyed light refreshments in a social gathering reflecting colonial era themes.
