Former NM Attorney General pleads innocent hires Bailey

David Norvell pled innocent to federal extortion charges and announced that F Lee Bailey will defend him. Bailey, then handling the Patricia Hearst case in San Francisco, will join with Al Johnson as co counsel after Hearst trial. Norvell faces counts of extortion conspiracy to commit extortion use of interstate facilities to extort and filing a false tax return. Pretrial motions set for Feb 27 with trial on March 15.
