Two Escaped Convicts May Be Near Clovis New Mexico
Clovis, New Mexico. Feb 19 AP Two men who bound gagged and robbed railway brakeman Bert Wilson aboard an A T S F train were found later in the bunker of a refrigerator car. Wilson said the pair, armed and hot and hard boiled, bound him and took his watch three dollars seventy five cents and knife. He believed the robbers boarded at Canyon Texas about 930 miles east and left 36 miles further along. One man was bareheaded and spoke with a foreign accent. Sheriff and local police conducted a wide search for the two suspects, believed to be escaped inmates of Granite Oklahoma prison who broke Sunday.
