Hearts Reach Out to Berrendo Middle School Community
La Tierra Montessori School for the Arts and Science in Espanola formed a PTA driven heart project. About 100 handmade hearts carried messages of encouragement and friendship to Berrendo Middle School after the Jan 14 shooting. Hearts were signed by 7 to 14 year olds and mailed February 7 to aid healing.

Roswell Police Officers Involved in Domestic Disturbance Shooting
Roswell officers responded to a 500 block Redwood residence around 1 a.m. for a domestic disturbance. A 34 year old man was shot and hospitalized. his condition is unknown. Officers involved are unnamed and on administrative leave pending investigation.
