Five American airmen bailed from a crippled C119 Flying Boxcar near Caceres Spain after engine failure. Two were lightly injured. others uninjured. The aircraft, from the 317th Troop Carrier Wing Sewart Air Base Smyrna Tennessee, was en route to the United States via the Azores when fog forced a crash landing. Troops and police searched the area with assistance from Spain Portugal and allied aircraft.
