Desiree Valencia Shatters Albuquerque Cookie Sale Record
Eleven year old Desiree Valencia sold the most Girl Scout cookies in Albuquerque in 2001, walking 42 miles door to door to move more than 1,600 boxes. She earned patches and prizes, and plans to attend a Scout dinner after surpassing her goal of 550 boxes per year. Her family supports her personal sales method.
