Secretary Lifts Moratorium on Flu Vaccines

Washington AP The moratorium on flu vaccinations was lifted allowing elderly and chronically ill to receive shots to protect against A Victoria flu in a Miami nursing home. The change also covers swine flu vaccines as no separate strains exist. Secretary Califano kept the serum only ban for swine flu citing no current outbreak and continuing concerns over Guillain Barré Syndrome risks.
