Flight Safety Training Center Opens at ENMU Roswell
The Alliance for Flight Safety Research and officials from city state and federal levels celebrate the Flight Safety Training Center opening at Eastern New Mexico University Roswell on February 22. U S Senators Bingaman and Domenici and Rep Skeen attend along with Mayor Owen and transportation officials. The center, funded by 2.27 million in 2002 federal appropriations, will train pilots and collect research data using Veridian’s advanced flight simulators. The project is expected to boost Roswell’s economy as visiting trainees require lodging car rentals and local services.
