Five Yucca Seventh grade girls joined legislators in Santa Fe to observe lawmaking as pages, following a similar trip last week. Rep. Carl Engwall arranged the outing with attendees Kathleen Richards Suzanna Rountree Leslie Little Diana Henson and Cary Stubbs. Roadrunner Month proclaimed in Santa Fe with 25 000 bumper stickers donated by Lloyd McKee Motors and Chrysler Motors. Gov. Cargo accepted the gift with DOD Director James Roberson. NASA to Launch Intelsat 3 Pacific Satellite Tonight
Cape Canaveral plans a 7:39 p.m. launch of a 322 pound satellite into a stationary 22,300 mile orbit above the Pacific using a Delta three stage rocket. Intelsat 3 Pacific, funded by 63 nations, will extend satellite telephone and TV circuits across the Pacific linking the U S Hawaii Japan Australia Thailand and the Philippines.
