The regular Elks semi monthly social drew large crowds with a nine table card parlor and a lively dance in two rooms. A Norevl quartet supplied music while a staircase of favors and decorations gave the event a festive Christmas tree glow. The patronesses Mesdames Hunt Moore Kennedy Jewett and Stine organized the affair, which ran past midnight and concluded with sandwiches coffee and pickles in the basement.
