Third Victim Of Monday Wreck Dies At Walker Air Force Base

A third victim from Monday night’s two car crash 11.2 miles south of here has died. Airman Buddy Eugene Van Hoy 19 of Walker AFB died yesterday from head and extremity injuries. Also killed were Garland Beeson Jr 19 and Alva Foster 16. An inquest is set for today.

William Lee Davisson of Clarksburg West Virginia entered Riverside Bank in Miami demanded 50 000 and got 20 000 after Duff Dunnlap. The pistol was a toy and Davisson claimed prior car theft sentences in Riverside Santa Fe and Chaves County. He was held for FBI inquiry.

Deputy Sheriff Unveils Twist In Local Check Racket

Chief deputy J. C. Jones reports a new form of theft targeting purses of store employees. A wave of purse lifting hit three local shops last Saturday with thieves forging a company check for 478.40 and stealing 35 in cash. Employes are warned to guard purses under counters and in lockers more carefully.

Funeral for Hagerman teen victim of car crash today

Alva Foster, 16, died from injuries after a two car smash near Hagerman at 11 20 p m Monday. Funeral services were held at 2 p m in the Baptist Church with Rev Scott New and Rev G H Woolf officiating. Burial followed in Hagerman Cemetery. Survivors include her parents three sisters and three brothers with several out of town relatives in attendance. Arrangements by Mason Funeral Home.

Egg theft near Las Cruces puzzles police

A thief stole 12 dozen eggs from a local farm near Las Cruces. Police tracked the suspect to a shell filled heap of cartons with no evidence of egg spills. Investigators seek a suspect capable of handling a 144 egg load.
