Descendant of Oliver Cromwell Dies in Denver
Edward Cromwell died at his daughter Gertrude Campion’s home in Denver in his 87th year. Born June 1 1821 in New York City he was the oldest direct Cromwell descendant and a leading philanthropist. He ran the nation’s largest flour mill and helped found the New York Produce Exchange serving as secretary and treasurer for a decade. He moved to Colorado in 1896.
