Historic Studios at Berrendo Road joins National Registry
The Historic Studios at West Berrendo Road and North Montana Avenue in Roswell, once the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Compound, was listed earlier this year on the National Register of Historic Places. The story traces founder Donald B. Anderson’s 1940s land purchase, the RAIR program, its growth, relocation in 2007, and ongoing preservation efforts by the RAIR Foundation and community.
