Clint Eastwood Film Underlines Darker Notes Amid Laughs
Review of Every Which Way But Loose notes the action and comedy blend while highlighting a darker subtext. The film follows Eastwood as a drifter with a pet orangutan pursued across states by gang members and police. Sondra Locke delivers a standout, though morally complex, performance amid a tale that ends with hard confrontations and a sobering message.
