Four babies born to Mr. and Mrs. Florencio Segura in Artesia Christmas Eve are identified as A B C and D by ENMMC staff. Nurses Anita Posey and Delia Atencio hold the newborns before their transfer to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center Tuesday night. They may be the first quadruplets born in New Mexico history.

Gordon Gay Resigns as Roswell Probate Judge
Chaves County Commissioners plan a 1 30 p m meeting to consider the resignation of County Probate Judge Gordon Gay of Roswell. Commission Chairman Jim Goodrum says Gay sent a letter stating personal business conflicts and a resignation effective December 31 if accepted.
