Wm A Riley aged fifty five died at his home in Roswell Saturday night at eleven o'clock after a short illness. He moved to New Mexico eight years ago from Pecos Texas and owned a ranch near Acme. He bought his Roswell home last fall so his children could attend local schools. He leaves a wife and three children including a son in the Veterans Bureau service in Tulsa Ohio and two twelve year old twins. Funeral services will be held from the Roswell Undertaking Co chapel Wednesday at three o'clock with Rev Rudolph Caughey officiating and music by the Presbyterian church choir. Burial will be at South Park.
Two appointments in the State Auditor's Office were announced at Democratic headquarters Las Vegas. J. Owens of Fort Sumner becomes Chief Clerk and Eloy D Trujillo of Taos becomes Voucher Clerk, effective January 1 under Auditor-elect Juan N. Vigil. Owens has long county clerical experience.
