Firecracker accident injures Rupert and Gunter during Christmas celebration
At eleven pm a fireworks blast at the Roswell round house injured night fireman Reuben Rupert badly and burned car repairer Joe Gunter. Rupert, 48, is in critical condition at St Marys Hospital. Gunter, 23, escaped serious harm with a severed finger and facial burns.

Cadets Beat Town Boys 10–0 In Roswell Gridiron Clash
A large Roswell crowd watched the cadets defeat the town boys 10 to nothing on Christmas morning. The first half lasted twenty minutes as both sides fought hard in a close game. The Williams Brothers of Hereford, Tex suffered indictments for murder involving John Armstrong of the XIT outfit with John Williams charged with murder in the first degree and Dobe Williams charged with conspiring to murder.
