Attorney C. E. Little departed this afternoon for a business trip down the valley. Ted Brough left this morning for Los Angeles after several days visiting friends.

The New Mexico, Kansas & Texas Oil Company well located 55 miles south of the city pumps 15 to 20 barrels daily and sells oil to Artesia Utilities while Illinois Producers plans to buy eight barrels daily as fuel oil. The shallow well appears promising but pumping is limited to protect three sands. the public is invited to view daily after noon.

In Mer rouge Louisiana on December 22 the bodies of Watt Daniels and Thomas Richards, thought murdered by night riders, were recovered from Lake La Fourche. State officials expect many arrests as they pursue the case. The men vanished last August after being waylaid by a masked mob. Militiamen were ordered reinforced with 100 additional guardsmen amid the development.
Four men Pete Welk Clayton Coomer Jenny Belcher and Jim Flowers were charged with murder after a gun fight with prohibition officers at a Dallas moonshine raid last night. Deputy Thomas I Wood was killed. The men reportedly escaped the scene but were later arrested. In Chicago Dearborn Street station burned in a dramatic blaze possibly started by crossed wires or a cigarette butt. The firemen saved a payroll and mail bags valued at $34000.
