Navajo Nation seeks return of exhumed remains
The Navajo Nation sues to reclaim hundreds of human remains and funerary objects excavated at Canyon de Chelly and held by the National Park Service in Tucson. The tribe argues ownership and seeks court orders for immediate repatriation and reburial on Navajo land.
