Houseville Ky Dec 21 The jury in the case against Jas H Parriah Owensboro banker charged with receiving deposits while head of Owensboro Savings Bank was unable to reach a verdict after being out since last Friday.
Washington dispatch says the Philippine Scouts receive strong endorsement for the tariff act amendments now before the Senate. The annual insular report praises the Scouts as key to Filipino education and living standards, notes free trade aims between the US and the Philippines after April 11, 1909, and reports Cuba's peace maintenance and American intervention costs through June 30 last.
