Carlsbad wrestlers survive fatal crash on return from Albuquerque
Frederick, coach of Carlsbad Senior High School wrestling, said the bus carrying 12 wrestlers, three managers, five cheerleaders and the driver was 10 to 15 miles north of Carlsbad on U.S. 285 when it collided with a car driven by Abel Rascon of Artesia, who died of massive head and internal injuries.
