Fred Parsons and Miss Dorothy Danning wed Sunday with Rev F. Spicas. attempt to keep secret failed as marriage license publication revealed the ceremony. Danning from Winfield and Parsons, a Roswell resident, visited Elida before a Minnesota trip. Muncy Bay sold his transfer business including horses carriages omnibuses witobus and livery rig to J S Anderson of this city for 8000 dollars. Real estate of the Muncy stables was not included. Retiring proprietor will devote time to real estate, moving to Fulton Missouri previously. The transfer man is Roswell, and the institution’s operations continue without interruption. In Washington, Treasury officials faced illness. Assistant Secretary Edwards acts as secretary while Metcalf recovers at home.
President Roosevelt ends a Pacific-bound naval visit aboard the Mayflower ship with a hearty farewell and waves to the crowd in Washington on December 17. The voyage fulfilled show of support for the fleet and closed a Pacific-bound deployment.

In Boise on December 16 attorney Darrow was ill delaying the Pettibone trial and impeaching questions to Orchard were postponed until tomorrow. Edgar Wilson moved to strike Orchard’s testimony about Colorado crimes and Couer d Alene trouble. the motion was denied. A Colorado judge testified about a bomb found at his gate as corroboration. In Goldfield Nevada the Roosevelt commission opened labor condition inquiries with initial testimony expected after Governor Sparks and General Funston reports.
The advertisement lists twenty salesladies needed immediately at Jaffa Prager & Co. and includes several legal notices of property transfers in Orchard Park S Highlands and Fairview areas with various buyers and nominal sums.

Washington December 17 The senate confirmed Dave Leahy for U S District Attorney for New Mexico. post follows Senate approval of his appointment.
A benefit entertainment at the Christian church raised 46 dollars from 25 cent admissions for Miss Eva Nelson. Rev R R Hamlin and evangelist Daugherty headlined with lectures and illustrated songs. Nelson performed two vocal numbers and a violin solo before Hamlin and Daugherty departed for their next destinations after a three week revival.

A group from the high school led by Prof. and Mrs. Brasher and Prof. Hicks traveled Friday to Artesia for a girls basketball game between rival high schools. They returned Sunday morning with a lighthearted story and a drawing offer from local advertisers.
