Roswell City Council Scales Water Rate Increases
The Roswell City Council cut proposed water rate hikes, moving from an immediate 8 percent plus 2 percent yearly plan to a gradual 4 percent in January, another 4 percent next year, and two 3 percent raises the following two years. The change comes amid concerns over funds moved from the water fund to other city needs and a Millennium loan amid bankruptcy. The review notes current base water sewer and trash costs roughly 30 dollars monthly and warns against using municipal funds for private ventures.
