NM SPS Reach Air Quality Deal In New Mexico

Southwestern Public Service Co. will pay a $300,000 civil penalty and invest $500,000 in a solar array at Eastern New Mexico University Roswell campus. The project funds an adjunct professor in renewable energy and certification. the settlement resolves years of alleged nitrogen oxide violations at Cunningham Power Plant Hobbs between 2005 and 2009.
