Trainees Found Safe After Hillside Ordeal in New Mexico
Eight Peace Corps trainees aged 21 to 28 were found in the Manzano Mountains after four days of rain snow and near freezing temperatures. Dr David Benedetti of the Peace Corps Center at the University of New Mexico said the group remained resilient during their trek toward training in Chile. They were airlifted to Albuquerque where they resumed training.
