In Pasadena a prominent dentist and art patron Dr. Leonard Siever, about 35, was found shot to death in a driveway near the Scottish Rite Cathedral after an all night rain. The time of death is placed between 11 p m and midnight. a cathedral caretaker reported no struggle. The body was found by a milkman at about 4 50 am. the car and key remained in the driveway. Police continue investigations into the alleged murder plot.

Four Die in Flaming Auto Wreck Near Springer
A fiery collision on U S highway 85 near Springer New Mexico killed five people including George Schrum age four and Mrs and Mr Schrum with two children. Two men and a woman plus another child were injured as two trucks collided blinded by a spotlight and burst into flames blocking rescue efforts.
