Wool Bowl profits trail expenses despite higher ticket sales
Wool Bowl chairman Jerry Smith reported at a Wool Bowl Committee dinner at the airport restaurant that gross ticket sales reached 5 777 dollars up 500 but expenses exceeded income by about 1 000 dollars due to back taxes paid to New Mexico and missing contributions from sponsors. Gate receipts doubled from last year and plans to expand the committee were announced for next year.
