Holyfield among boxers headed to Hall of Fame in Canastota
Evander Holyfield, the youngest of nine, earns induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame alongside Marco Antonio Barrera, Johnny Tapia, Johnny Lewis, Jerry Roth, Steve Farhood, Barry Tompkins, Eddie Booker, and Jimmy Lennon Sr. The Real Deal, 54, rose from a tough Alabama upbringing to Olympic bronze in 1984, becoming a four time heavyweight champion with key battles against Bowe, Tyson, and Douglas. Barrera, who won world titles in three weight classes after a 43-0 start, also joins the class and looks forward to the Canastota ceremony.
