Roswell Electric Light Parade draws 25 floats planned
More than 25 floats had entered the Electric Light Parade with 10 to 15 more expected by Thursday. The parade, led by Mr and Mrs Santa Claus, begins at 6 30 p m Saturday along Main Street from College Boulevard to Summit Street and lasts about an hour. Parking for the disabled is on Main Street between Fourth and Second, spectators should dress warmly, and Girl Scouts will sell hot chocolate and cider. Downtown merchants will stay open after the parade. Fire department inspector Warren Aldrich urged float inspections to ensure fire extinguishers, non combustible materials, no open flames, working generators and safe bulbs. inspections are free and permits required.
