The Hermit of Roswell and the Blashek Mill Family

In Roswell's east side near Edgewood School families moved in during the 50s and 60s while neighbors feared the lone rider known as the hermit Pat Garrett Blashek. The Blashek mill saga began with George F. Blashek who built a spring river grist mill in 1883 and endured tragedy including a son's death, a house fire, and finally a mother's murder suicide in 1899.
