Sheep remained steady with muttons 3.75 to 5.25, lambs 4.50 to 6.00, range wethers 4.00 to 4.90, ewes 2.50 to 4.25.

An explosion and blaze at the Swiss Laundry in New Orleans on November 30 injured thirty, with six expected to die. All victims were girls. the deceased are Georgia Bercher and Mary Nelson.
Herr Johan Most the New York anarchist, arrested last night after his meeting broke up, was released today on the promise to leave St Louis. The arrest followed the disruption of his scheduled speech on anarchy.

New York December 1 It is now a certainty that there will be no race for the America's Cup next year. The rules require ten months notice in writing and since the races are expected in August or September it is too late for a challenge to be received for 1905.
Washington D C December 1 The sale of new stamps ends as the post office completes a standard issue rollout. Financial and supply details remain unavailable.

DuQuoin Illinois December 1 Sheriff Stein reports an attack on Zeigler starting at a pumping station two miles north and spreading to the mining town. About 300 shots were fired as militiamen responded. The sheriff says non union workers refused to surrender the Zeigler mines and no injuries are confirmed. The origin of the heaviest fire remains unclear.
James T. Taylor of the Taylor Moore Construction Co is an experienced contractor and friend of C L Stone of Roswell National Bank. He secured contracts for the sugar factory at Carlsbad the Texas building at the World’s Fair the Galveston courthouse and several government projects. He also won the bid on the Gunnison tunnel.
