Ammonia Leak Hospitalizes 17 at Leprino Foods Plant
A liquid ammonia release at Leprino Foods in Roswell Thursday morning injured 17 workers and prompted an evacuation of the mozzarella plant. The vaporized liquid escaped outside the building and was contained. all transported to hospitals, with one declining treatment and all released by evening. Leprino’s hazmat team and Roswell Fire Department responded, dispatching engines and support units.
