A blaze was brought under control by mid morning after eight probationary officers responded to the alarm. The firefighter union did not address a plea for help, though no injuries were reported.

Gray Alan Wilson, 65, of Albuquerque, buys Pep in Roosevelt County a town with two residents. He pays 25000 for the grocery store post office gas station and a three bedroom house. He plans to move with his son daughter and grandson. The Catheys owned Pep 25 years and will relocate to a bigger city. Pep founded in 1938 and named after the cereal.

Balloonists die filming maiden voyage in Indiana crash

Three balloonists were killed when their craft crashed after tangling with power lines during a maiden voyage in Fishers Indiana. Victims identified as Elizabeth Dumont Michael Kelly and James Kohls. Autopsies ordered as investigation continues.
