Poet Max Ritvo Dies At 25 From Cancer
Los Angeles poet Max Ritvo died at his Brentwood home after a long battle with Ewing’s sarcoma. Diagnosed at 16, he finished Yale and earned a Columbia master’s, shaping a body of work that blends humor and stark illness. He published Four Reincarnations and spoke widely about love, animal rights, and writing through pain.
