Roswell School-Based Health Center Serves 22 RISD Schools
At Mesa behind the middle school the Roswell Independent School District runs a school based health center. It provides illness treatment, health education, nutrition and STD counseling, sports physicals, and referrals at no cost to students without a primary physician. The NMDOH funds part of it with district matching, and local doctors donate after hours care. SHAC meetings guide expansion and operations with broad community input.
