WWII veteran buried at Fort Logan amid debate over crime
Raymond R. Sawyer, a former Marine who died in a Tucson prison after pleading guilty to second degree murder, is slated for burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Ventura critics say the burial dishonors the Marine Corps while the family defends the decision citing a lack of capital-crime disqualification and VA rules.
