Davis Dies in Prison After Double Murder Case
Arthur Ray Davis died Saturday morning at the state penitentiary where he was serving life for murder. He fatally shot his wife and 9 year old daughter Joye last June 16 at their Harris Cafe area home, then shot himself. Davis pled guilty to second degree murder for Joye’s death on August 15 and drew 98 to 99 years. he pled not guilty to first degree murder in his wife’s killing.
