Manslaughter Charge in New Mexico Auto Death
Newton H. Cayton of Harrisville West Virginia faces a preliminary hearing Friday on a manslaughter charge in the death of W T Davis of Crater New Mexico. The car Cayton allegedly drove collided with Davis car about 20 miles west of Las Cruces. Davis died several hours after the crash in a local hospital. Davis widow filed the charge. Cayton is said to come from a wealthy family and has offered no commitment.

Mrs J E Prather, 83, longtime Otero county resident and member of a pioneer Texas family, died at her Alamogordo home.
