Zoning Plan Aims to Shield Roswell Airport and Water Basins

Chaves County and Roswell propose extraterritorial zoning to create a two mile buffer around the Roswell Industrial Air Center and limit new development to five acre lots outside protected zones. Prisoners Escape From Maryland House of Correction

Thirty inmates escaped from the House of Correction in Jessup Maryland after sawing through bars in a recreation room. Fourteen were recaptured within hours as hundreds of police from multiple agencies aided searches near Catonsville and along the Baltimore Washington Parkway.
