Night wiped out GM papaya trees on Hawaii Big Island farm
Unknown assailants chopped down 3000 trees on five leased acres across 10 acres under cover of night. The attack, likely machete work, left fruit rotting and stoking eco-terrorism fears among papaya growers. Farmers plan to replant after losses of 15 thousand dollars and ongoing concerns about GMO crops.
