Drug lord Caro Quintero freed sparking US victims families anger
Mexican appeals court freed cartel leader Rafael Caro Quintero twelve years early after he was convicted in the slayings of seven Americans, including DEA agent Enrique Camarena. The release renews U.S. pressure to recapture him as relatives recall decades of brutal violence and loss. The victims include two American couples in Guadalajara and journalist allies who vanished a year before Camarena's murder. Eve Walker, widow of John Clay Walker, speaks of lingering grief and hope for justice.
